Recruitment for the "Green public transport"
Until December 20, 2021, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management is conducting the second call for applications for the "Green public transport" program, under which you can obtain funding for:
– purchase/lease of new battery-powered electric buses;
– purchase/lease of new electric buses powered by hydrogen fuel cells;
– purchase/lease of new trolleybuses additionally equipped with batteries/hydrogen fuel cells (for traveling on route sections without electric traction);
– training of drivers/mechanics in the operation of purchased vehicles;
– construction/modernization of battery charging/hydrogen refueling points along with the accompanying infrastructure (e.g. power connections or traction networks), including publicly accessible points.
►Co-financing will be provided in the form of a grant (pool up to PLN 1,000 million) and a loan (pool up to PLN 200 million).
The subsidy level ranges from 20% to 80% (for the purchase of battery buses and trolleybuses and staff training) or up to 90% (for the purchase of hydrogen buses and staff training) and up to 25% for the development of charging infrastructure. The amount of funding depends on, among others: on the number of inhabitants, the level of tax revenue per capita and the type of public transport organized.
►Co-financing in the form of a loan is up to 100% of eligible costs.
Unlike in the 1st call for proposals, only the Organizers of public collective transport can apply (Operators cannot apply). The "first come, first served" principle applicable in the 1st recruitment was also changed (the 1st recruitment was completed after 2 weeks due to exhaustion of the allocation) - all applications submitted on time will be assessed and placed on the ranking list. The place on the list will determine whether the grant is awarded.
