Access infrastructure to the Port of Gdansk

The remaining two projects concern the Northern Port of the Port of Gdansk, the implementation of which will enable two-way navigation of vessels and ensure the required level of safety of ships arriving and departing from the Port of Gdansk for the projected increase in the number of ships. As part of the project "Modernization of the waterway to the Northern Port in Gdańsk", the approach fairway will be modernized and its: width at the bottom will be increased to the target - 600 m, technical depth to the target - 18 m. In turn, as part of the project "Modernization of the system of protective breakwaters in the Port "Northern in Gdańsk", four breakwaters with a total length of 3,957 m will be modernized or built, and two fairways and a turntable will be built, along with appropriate placement of navigation markings.

The Maritime Office in Gdynia implements the above-described projects with the use of EU funds. On June 18, 2018, a co-financing agreement was signed for the project "Modernization of the entrance to the inner port (in Gdańsk). Stage IIIa and August 29, 2018 for the project "Modernization of the breakwater system in the Northern Port in Gdańsk". The co-financing agreement for the project "Modernization of the waterway to the Northern Port in Gdańsk" is to be signed by the end of 2018. The total value of the Projects is PLN 1.072 billion, and the co-financing amounts to PLN 910.6 million (85% of eligible costs).
